What should I do if the smart key gets wet?
Handle immediately:
1. Remove the battery and dry it with cold air (do not use hot air).
2. Place it in a desiccant or rice for 48 hours.
3. Test the functions; if it doesn’t work, the circuit board may be corroded. Sweat corrodes boards fast! Having keys in your pocket against you while working out can easily damage the circuit board.
❌ Do not press the buttons directly to avoid short-circuiting and burning the chip.
If the above fails to work, in most cases we can make a new, replacement key for you if you are in our service area.
